Hannes APFOLTERER is still Leader of these 2 ensembles he founded in 1983.
On various occasions, the BIG BAND has already appreared very successfully at a large number of events as for example in events as the televisions series „O du mein Österreich“ and the ORF-Gala „Licht ins Dunkel“.
Media stars as Ireen SHEER, Roy BLACK, Andy BORG and others were musically accompanied by the BIG BAND; also a CD was produced.
Parts of the BIG BAND’s and the COMBO’s annual program are several performances during the Ball Season. Throughout the year they perform at various events as honors and tributes, decorations, summer festivals, anniversaries and jubilees, charity concerts, company celebrations, student events, New Years’s Eve Galas, and international sport tournaments.
The BIG BAND and the COMBO gained international recognition during concert tours to Cyprus, Germany, Israel and Switzerland.

Troop Support with the UN in CYPRUS (Famagusta, Nikosia, Larnaca).
Musical live accompaniment of the Austrian State Championship in the Latin American Dances in the Congress Innsbruck. Subsequently musical live accompaniment of other national and international dance competitions.

Austrian Charity Ball in the AKAMAS Ballroom in the Coral Beach Hotel at the invitation of the UN, musical accompaniment of the Medal Parade followed by a big Last Post in Salamis. Concerts for long-serving UN soldiers and for disabled Cypriot children, etc.
Ball of the „Bodensee officers“ in Konstanz, GERMANY (every 3 years about).

ISRAEL
Musical arrangement of a holy mass in the Austria Hospice in Jerusalem.
Musical accompaniment of the festivities for the Austrian National Day on 26 October at the residence and in presence of the Austrian Ambassador, H.E. Mag. Michael RENDI, and Deputy Prime Minister of Israel in Tel Aviv.
Concerts have been played among others for terminally ill children in the „Schneider Children Medical Center of Israel“ in Petah Tiquah, in the retirement home „RISHONEI HACARMEL“ of the Association of Central Europeans in Haifa and for Holocaust survivors, also in Haifa.
